SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly growing breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, is undergoing a complete renovation at its downtown Greenville, S.C. restaurant beginning today; construction is expected to last up to four weeks. Located at 31 Augusta St., the restaurant also has new owners. Franchise Partners Roger Beasley and Zac Painter purchased the location earlier this year and have a unique connection to the Brand.
Beasley and Painter have spent the better part of their lives in the Upstate, and together, they are principals of Candor, a five-year-old strategic consulting firm specializing in the restaurant industry. The duo has consulted with countless major restaurant and retail brands, and what’s more, has handled Eggs Up Grill’s marketing strategy for the last three years. Beasley, who previously owned Scratch in Greenville, has lived in the area for the last 25 years and says the opportunity to give new life to the existing restaurant, along with their roots in the area, is too good to pass up because they know the promise of the Eggs Up Grill brand.
“Zac and I saw an opportunity to go beyond our role as chief marketing officers for Eggs Up Grill and become franchisees for a brand we work with and love, because we believe in it that much,” said Beasley. “As a top-tier breakfast brand, Eggs Up Grill outshines the competition from the scalability of its business model to its unique guest appeal, and of course, the economics – record-setting average sales volumes.”
Both Beasley and Painter reside in Greenville with their families. Painter says that they have come full circle professionally.
“From consulting for large restaurant brands my entire career, to now owning a franchise of the number-one breakfast brand in the country, in my hometown, is pretty exciting,” Painter said. “As marketers, we have a front row seat to the rapid growth of Eggs Up Grill, as well as working with successful, happy franchisees from the brand every day. We felt it was to time expand our roles in the industry and become franchisees, and there was no question that Eggs Up Grill was the brand for us.”
They added that the growth explosion in downtown Greenville creates a need for new and fresh breakfast, brunch and lunch options.
Renovations for the 2,480 square-foot restaurant include boasting the Brand’s latest design made to make guests feel at home in a light, bright and cheery atmosphere, but with an urban, downtown feel. The location will double its outdoor seating to 50 and will reopen with a full liquor license, serving brunch cocktails as well as Eggs Up Grill’s popular mimosas. The restaurant will also serve signature breakfast, brunch and lunch items that will enhance Eggs Up Grill’s usual offerings, including French fries to accompany its juicy burgers, as well as chicken and waffles, a fried chicken sandwich and a fried chicken biscuit.
The Greenville restaurant will serve guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the weekends, with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering and delivery options available. The restaurant will also cater events big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy and muffins. Salads and sandwiches will be available for catered lunch.
With locations across the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, and soon entering Texas and Mississippi, Eggs Up Grill offers a unique experience for guests and franchise partners alike. Its great tasting food and drinks, uniquely friendly service and everyday affordability make Eggs Up Grill a number one choice for guests.
The Greenville restaurant will retain all its employees and the owners anticipate hiring more team members in the future. Those interested can apply online at eggsupgrill.com.
