Tony and Brigitte Bartley Sawyer to open 10 Eggs Up Grills across Virginia’s Hampton Roads
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly growing breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, will continue its growth in the state of Virginia this year with new Franchise Partners Tony and Brigitte Bartley Sawyer. In February, the couple signed a deal for 10 Eggs Up Grill restaurants in the Hampton Roads territory, including the metropolitan areas of Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Newport News, Va. The Sawyers have begun searching for a new location and intend their first opening in late 2023. Eggs Up Grill recently opened its 62nd location this month and has more than 20 new restaurants in development for 2023 openings. The company continues to add record levels of new franchise signings, bringing a region-wide presence of more than 170 Eggs Up Grills open, under development or committed to open by local franchise partners.
“A substantial part of Eggs Up Grill’s accelerating growth is the attraction of successful, larger, multi-unit franchisees like the Sawyers, who wish to expand their business with a top-tier concept like Eggs Up Grill,” said Ricky Richardson, CEO of Eggs Up Grill. “It’s a great testament to the strength of our brand, and we are proud to partner with people like Tony and Brigitte, who share the business values that have made Eggs Up Grill the success it is.”
Sawyer has been involved with Sport Clips for the last 17 years and owns 54 locations throughout the Southeast; he is the largest sole operator of the hair care concept. In addition to Sport Clips, the Sawyers own two licenses for Urban Air Adventure Park franchises and two licenses for Snapology.
Brigitte Bartley Sawyer is an entrepreneur who focuses on holistic health and wellness. She is a certified life coach and published author, as well as a social media marketer, luxury realtor and blogger. She will serve as the chief people officer for the Sawyers’ Eggs Up Grill restaurants.
“When looking for our next venture, we knew we only wanted to work with a concept that has a great product and great people, and Eggs Up Grill has both,” said Tony Sawyer. “What truly stood out to us was the leadership. They really care about franchisee success, which is why the brand is number one in its category.”
With locations across the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, and soon entering Texas and Mississippi, Eggs Up Grill offers a unique experience for guests and franchise partners alike. Its great tasting products, uniquely friendly service and everyday affordability make Eggs Up Grill a number one choice for guests. The single daypart operation, appealing investment economics and top-quality franchisor support are highly attractive to franchisees.
